Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Interactive Brokers Group Inc. (IBKR) announced the launch of crypto-asset trading for eligible individual investors in the European Economic Area through Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, an authorized crypto-asset service provider in the EEA.
The service allows clients to trade 11 crypto-assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Solana, Cardano, Ripple, Dogecoin, Avalanche, and Sui alongside traditional securities on a single platform.
"Our clients want the flexibility to diversify into crypto-assets while maintaining the tools, pricing, and trust they rely on Interactive Brokers for," said Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers. "By offering crypto alongside traditional assets on a single platform, clients can manage risk, liquidity, and capital more efficiently across their entire portfolio."
The crypto trading service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with commissions starting at 0.12%-0.18% of trade value. Interactive Brokers states there are no hidden spreads, markups, or custody fees, and clients can place limit orders to control execution prices.
The crypto-asset integration is provided through a partnership with zerohash, a regulated digital asset and stablecoin infrastructure provider. Trading is available across Interactive Brokers’ platform suite, including Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile, and IBKR GlobalTrader.
The launch expands Interactive Brokers’ crypto services to the EEA market, which encompasses approximately 450 million people according to the company’s statement.
