Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 2.96% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 2.82% or 0.50 points to end at 18.24 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 2.46% or 0.08 points to 3.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which fell 1.24% or 0.12 points to trade at 9.52 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 0.70% or 0.07 points to end at 9.98 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was down 0.67% or 0.02 points to 2.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.83% or 0.55 to $66.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.69% or 0.44 to hit $64.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 35.02 to trade at $3,488.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 98.06.
